I draw business stuff – in live sessions
I spent decades in branding before it occurred to me to draw during a conversation. Then one day on Zoom with a coach in Jamaica, I picked up a pen just to understand what she was telling me. Everything fell into place. That was eight years ago, and I haven't stopped since.
Now, I work from my studio in a remodelled barn in the Danish countryside, detangling big ideas for clients all over the world. I draw business stuff – in live sessions. I've done this hundreds of times now. CEOs, authors, software companies, branding agencies. Also yoga teachers, HVAC companies, and a church conference centre with a kitchen problem.
The same thing happens every session: something that was always there becomes visible.
It still gets me, every time. I can hear it in their voice when we hit on the real thing: A red thread appears, a north star shows up. Three separate business ideas turn out to be one.
And sometimes you see that it doesn't work before you build it.
"You are saving me years of my life making bad decisions." (client, CEO)"Your honesty kills me," another one said. They booked again.
When I'm not drawing for business, I'm drawing for fun, or I'm out with our sweet bearded collie Pushkin – and yes, we have a little lake in our back garden.
